It looks like information technology'south "L4". Information technology looks melted. Possibly C62, also. Any thought how I could set up this? Or at least temporarily use it to get the information off?

The easy way is to buy a PCB with the same number engraved on it and bandy the ROM bit from the old damaged PCB to the newer ane, assuming the PCB does have a Marvell MCU ... If it's WDC MCU based you might get away with a straight PCB bandy equally long as the ROM code on the new PCB is the same equally the one on the broken 1 ... _________________ |

If the preamp is damaged, you lot will need to supercede the caput stack assembly. If it's just the PCB, a PCB swap (and ROM swap) volition do the trick. |

If the drive just clicks the pre-amp (within the drive) is gone and if you exercise need to recover the data out of the drive you will need to send it to a professional information recovery house. Practice NOT OPEN THE DRIVE YOURSELF outside a HEPA 100 hygienic room ... _________________ |

Do you think it's condom to plug my device in now to a proper connexion and see if information technology spins upwards or does anything? |

Just replace the PCB + re-create the ROM content or supervene upon the ROM chip to the new PCB. Using that damaged PCB volition not brand y'all whatever good. Tin cause further damage to the bulldoze. Also cheque power supply and make certain yous are using a good quality one now ... Yous don't want to kill more PCBs ... _________________ |
